I'd never heard of casting out 9s as an addition check. Does it work for multiplication too?
I'd only known of Casting out 9s in numerology also--to get to the numbers to predict your life's journey and soul mission. I can't tell you much more than that, though.
I have a tiny card that explains it, including that letters have a number associated with them. A=1, B=2 etc. and 9, which doesn't count is for I and then you start over, J=1, and so on. Soul vibration is the vowels of your name, Personality Vibration is the consonants, Destiny vibration is all the letters, Life lesson is all the numbers of your birth date. I think there's a way to figure out your year's prediction, but I forget what that is. And the other side of the tiny card has tinier print for each of the 9 numbers and their meanings, gems, parts of the body, etc. If you want, I can see if I can scan it and enlarge it. Maybe tmi already. :-)

I just used casting out 9s the other day when calculating my taxes. Now you’ve ruined it by telling me it might not be a sure thing!
