Congratulations on finishing "Transition" and moving into "Lifestyle!" I hope to see you in a Zoom meeting when I get to that rank. (Cohort 108 - presente!) I'm almost at my goal, close to 40 lbs lighter. I think what will work is a complete habit reset, focusing on "mindful eating" with some help from a 6 week Zoom workshop through Insight NY. I also weigh every day but can't commit to logging every meal. Disrobing is very important for believing the scale. Every mouthful of normal food tastes WONDERFUL after the program "products." Yes, bell peppers are great and so is broccoli.
Congratulations Josh. Improved self-esteem, lowered risk of metabolic liver disease, vascular disease, and looking good!
Prepare yourself for some rebound, and try not to be too hard on yourself. Sustained weight loss is difficult and requires lower caloric intake than those lucky creatures whose baseline tend to be thinner. Perhaps as low as 1200 calories a day based on studies of genetics and metabolism.
But celebrate success for now, enjoy moving easier during exercise, and major kudos for all your efforts.
Congratulations on reaching the culmination of a journey marked by many milestones. I so enjoyed seeing your new form in San Rafael a few weeks ago--and a fine form it was!
For some reason it only now occurred to me that I started my own nutrition reset on the exact same day that you did: July 14, 2023. My goal is to reverse the diabetes that has plagued every single person in my family and from which I was certain I would never emerge. Two weeks after starting the new program, my physician cut my medication dosage by 2/3, and within the month, I was off it completely. I have two more months to go, but have seen my blood sugar readings remain in healthy zones without medication and have shed over 25 pounds even though that is not necessarily the goal. Yay us!
Congratulations Josh. An extended diet like yours is a real challenge. You look great. I hope you are feeling as well as you look. The next step is nearly as tough: finding a long term life style compatible with your new self. Good luck, Tiger.
A big congrats! I was going to kid you about having thoughts of celebrating with a big-ass cake or something, but you've beat me to it. This sort of thinking should be in your rear-view mirror. It shouldn't even be a temptation. Do something else. Bla bla, I repeat myself. I suppose we can all expect a future show from you on just this experience . . . and then let it go, and move on! No more Mister Dietguy; segue into the next guy. maintain, joe
I just remember what Bucky Fuller said after he lost 80 pounds. "It just wasn't me"
The fat wasn't you - the smarts, the love, the humor, and the oboe are you.

Also, has anyone mentioned to you how much younger you look now?
* blushing, youthfully *
You look fantastic. What an accomplishment.
You have to pay attention all the time (“mindful eating”) to keep this prize you’ve worked so hard for.
You can do it. You’re strong. (And smart, funny, talented, and good-lookin’! ) remember how good it feels to be able to move freely!
