I like the Einstein joke specifically because I can hear in my head the cadence of how the last line would be said by an old Jewish man. :-)

I know joke number 3. My family told it using "Kreplach" instead of cheese blintzes. I think it makes a the joke better because the word "Kreplach" sounds pretty scary!

Actually, the way my mom used to tell it, it _was_ "kreplach"! But when I was writing this post yesterday, I checked back to an email I sent her in 2017 asking about this joke -- and she wrote back that it was "cheese blintzes"! So that's what I used. But "kreplach" kept nagging at me after I posted it -- and now your comment confirms it!

Not sure l followed the Mrs. Katz joke, my mother-in-law was a “Bunny” from Long Island. I’m pretty sure she would have appreciated all of them! Happy Mother’s Day to your Sara, BTW

Josh, Thanks for the jokes. The Einstein one was fun. But I can't say that I understand that blintz joke at all as a joke or even a story. But that photo of blintzes with berries and sour cream looks so yum! Thanks for the reminder to enjoy some again soon--maybe for Sunday brunch.

It helps to know re: the Einstein joke that front pages at the time often held frequent reports of the latest Einstein news. That understanding helps enhance your Mom's punchline. Also, the joke now seems to be on us: There's no Einstein in the current news -- only Elton Must and Rudyard Thumpk ...
