So great, Josh. Thank you for sharing your musical trials and if I'm thinking right your Dad died when he was 59? Same age my Dad passed, 10 years after his first heart attack at 49. Stories about your Dad and your beautiful connection with him are incredibly moving, especially to someone who still grieves a Dad that just wasn't around enough. Huge thanks, Sara from RTSO
I read this post yesterday as soon as it appeared in my inbox of course. Very enjoyable, as usual, though I did idly wonder what was non about your violin. This morning I finally went non-violin? Practicing non-violins? OHhhh! Nevermind, Emily Litella.
I loved this post, Josh. Perfect presentation of the struggles to play an instrument so intertwined with a truly loving parent and his (your Dad's) efforts to encourage you. I'm happy to be reading your offerings again, as for some reason I'm not being notified that they're here waiting for me! All kind wishes to you and thanks so much for sharing it all. Sara from RTSO
Beautiful piece! Your father's lovefor you and yours for him illuminate every word.
A fun read, Josh. Reminded me of some of my childhood memories albeit not with a non violin 😊
... What's Yiddish for "squeak, squeak, squeak"....
Har Har...so funny 🥸😁🙏🏻
Oh, such a nice reminiscing write up! Thank you👏💙🧘🏻♀️🌌(I'm born nine before you)

My violin practice was less than successful. Didn't have the patience to read music and didn't want to annoy the household with the squeaks.
The lesson of love is clearly your best. Thanks for sharing.
