I remember you talking about Luke in one of your monologues, specifically describing your father telling you he was gay, his reaction, and your efforts to make sure Luke knew you still loved him. It's good to learn more about him.

Another thoughtful and beautiful essay, Josh. Thank you so much. I get so much unsolicited email these days that it gets in the way of what I enjoy. Your essays are always a joy — thought provoking as well as very moving. I am very glad that Carol and I had the good fortune of meeting you many years ago after seeing Haiku Tunnel.
